HOW DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH SLEEP YOU NEED?

Sleep needs are individual; some people need nine hours, while others are energized after six and a half hours.  To calculate the perfect amount for YOU, try the following.

Method ONE (works well on vacation)

Go to bed at the same time every night and wake up naturally (no alarm clock).

By the fourth day you should have paid off your sleep debt and should wake up refreshed.  Take note of how many hours you slept – that’s your goal!

 

Method TWO

Keep your wake up time the same, but go to bed an hour earlier for the next four days.  Still sleepy?  Go to bed 30 minutes earlier.  Can’t fall asleep? Go to bed 15 minutes later. 

 

Experiment until you wake up refreshed!
